The Princess Diaries Collection is an American teen romantic comedy sequel, directed by Garry Marshall and written by Gina Wendkos, based on Meg Cabot's 2000 novel of the same name. It stars Anne Hathaway (in her film debut) as Mia Thermopolis, a teenager who discovers that she is the heir to the throne of the fictional Kingdom of Genovia, ruled by her grandmother Queen dowager Clarisse Renaldi (Julie Andrews). Despite mixed critical reviews, the performances of Gellar, Philippe, and Witherspoon were praised. Cruel Intentions was a box office success, earning $76 million and spawning two further films, both direct-to-video.

Balto is a 1995 American live-action/animated historical adventure drama film directed by Simon Wells, produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Universal Pictures. The film is loosely based on a true story about the dog of the same name who helped save children from the diphtheria epidemic in the 1925 serum run to Nome. The live-action portions of the film were filmed at Central Park, in New York City. Followed by two direct-to-video sequels: Balto II: Wolf Quest (2002), and Balto III: Wings of Change (2004).

A number of aspects were changed, including the main character's name (to "Chris Vaughn") and the setting was moved from McNairy County, Tennessee to Kitsap County, Washington, United States. Walking Tall: The Payback and Walking Tall: Lone Justice, are two direct-to-video sequels that have been released starring Kevin Sorbo.
